The Zhongshan Chengbei (中山城北) toll station (former Gangkou Station) of Zhongshan-Jiangmen Expressway, commonly known as the "North Gate" of  downtown Zhongshan, fully resumed operation at 10pm on December 10.

After a dazzling firework show, all 14 lanes, including 6 for entry and 8 for exit, opened to traffic, which would effectively alleviate congestion and greatly improve the efficiency of getting on and off expressways in northern downtown Zhongshan and Gangkou Town.

Zhongshan Chengbei is known as "the most beautiful expressway entrance in the city". From Gangkou Town, the driving time will be about 10 minutes to major expressways and within 40 minutes to surrounding cities such as Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhuhai and Jiangmen.
