The 9th Asian U12 Junior Baseball Championship was grandly opened in Dongsheng Town on 9th December and it is the 4th time that the championship has been held in China. Eight teams from China, Japan, Korea, Pakistan, Indonesia, the Philippines, Hongkong and Taibei participated and Chinaman of municipal CPPCC Qiu Shuhong delivered a welcome speech.

As one brand event of Baseball Federation of Asia, Asian U12 Junior Baseball Championship is held every two years. Sponsored by China Baseball Association, Zhongshan Education and Sports Bureau, Dongsheng town government, the championship this year attracted about 150 teenagers to come to Zhongshon and jointly enjoyed the sports.
