The annual senior high school entrance exam, which has been delayed for a month, officially started on July 20 and will last for 3 days. It is learned from the Zhongshan Education and Sports Bureau that in response to the high temperature these days, all 1,337 exam rooms in Zhongshan are equipped with air conditioners.
All 24 towns and districts in Zhongshan set up examination areas independently, with a total of 38 exam venues. In order to prevent and control the epidemic, Zhongshan has carried out health monitoring on all examinees and exam-related staff since July 6, and formulated guidelines for the prevention and control of the epidemic during the annual examination. Zhongshan has also set up 153 standby isolated exam rooms for examinees with fever or other possible symptoms.
This year, durations for individual subjects in Zhongshan's senior high school entrance exam have been adjusted, and the total score of the examination increased from 530 to 600.
