The Municipal Court welcomed another batch of visitors from Hong Kong on Dec. 13 when a public trial was held on a burglary. This is the third batch of Hong Kong middle-school or college students observing a hearing in the mainland. The students expressed that such an experience contributed to their better understanding of judicial system in the mainland.
After the trial, the college students had a discussion with the court officers on the similarities and differences between the two judicial systems. Luo Jiahao, the chief justice, comprehensively introduced the basic situation of inferior courts in the mainland.
