Zhongshan Polytechnic and Zhongshan Torch Polytechnic ranked among the “Top Polytechnics to be Established in Guangdong Province” list that was released yesterday by Guangdong Education Department. A total of 18 polytechnics succeeded in fighting off fierce competition and claimed a place in the list.

In June, the Education Department rolled out a plan to establish a batch of polytechnics that are famous in the nation and influential in the world. The chosen polytechnics should take on the tasks of: deepening the reform of the management system, perfecting the incentive and restraining mechanism for teachers, adjusting and optimizing the structure of disciplines and strengthening scientific research and social services.
