The annual Guangdong Traditional Southern Lion Dancing Tournament was held in Maoming City from July 19 to 23 to spread the traditional dragon and lion dancing culture and promote it to school students. The competition attracted 275 teams. Zhongshan’s Shalang Primary School Team and Xinlian Primary School Team both won the First Prize.

The two school are among the earliest school in Zhongshan that teach dragon and lion dancing lessons. They spread the culture, get students involved and encourage students to attend contests in hopes of shaping student’s strong will, teamwork ability and confidence and further developing their schools with their characteristics.
