Voluntary summer program “For the Sun of the Future” was opened under collaboration of Guangdong Polytechnic Institute, Shenwan Town League Committee, Women’s Federation of the town, Shencai Feiyang Volunteers Association in Shenwan Family Planning Center Building on July 18. Guangdong Polytechnic Institute Internship Base was also inaugurated in the town. The university will send students to provide volunteering teaching service for poor students.

The program is set mainly for poor pupils of grade 2 to 6 in Shenwan Town. The teachers consist from Guangdong Polytechnic Institute students and local college students. The program covers summer homework tutoring, fun Chinese, mathematics and English, body language and handicrafts. Various tutoring lessons will provide a happy learning experience for these pupils.
