The new Zhongshan Passenger Port has witnessed significantly growing inbound and outbound passenger trips during its first month since November 28.

As of December 28, the total number of inbound and outbound passengers exceeded 73,100, up about 68% from a month earlier through the old passenger port and up about 10.7% from the same period last year.

Mainland residents and residents of Hong Kong and Macao accounted for a major part of the inbound and outbound passengers. The Zhongshan border inspection checked and released 34,500 mainland residents, up about 82% month-on-month, and over 32,700 residents of Hong Kong and Macao, up about 87% month-on-month.
