The Zhongshan Comprehensive Air Quality Standard Plan was released days before.
In 2019, major pollutants in Zhongshan were ozone, nitrogen dioxide and PM2.5 particulate matter, of which ozone accounted for 58.5%.
In response to Zhongshan's current situation of air environmental quality, the plan has set a target level for pollutants. Specifically, by 2020, the annual average concentration of nitrogen dioxide and PM2.5 particulate matter should not exceed 33 μg/m3 and 32 μg/m3 respectively. The plan also includes measures to curb the rapid increase of ozone pollution, and that the days with good air quality should account for more than 90% of all days in the whole year.
Next, Zhongshan will carry out governance work in 9 aspects, including upgrading industrial infrastructure, optimizing renewable energy infrastructure, adjusting transportation infrastructure, overseeing management of industrial parks, and strengthening the governance of non-renewable energy sources. "Green logistics areas" will be gradually set up in East District and Shiqi District as a pilot program, and in these areas diesel trucks will be banned all day.
