The 19th session of the 11th municipal standing committee was held on 20th June, specially focusing on the “progress of establishing the hometown of Sun Yatsen into the national 5A-class scenic spot” to put forward suggestions for the commemorative activities of 150th anniversary of Sun Yat-sen’s birth.

In the field investigation, municipal tourism Bureau, Nanlang town government and the construction unit introduced the progress of the project in detail. The standing committee fully affirmed the construction and progress and further suggested that some cultural elements like Sun Yat-sen culture and local folk culture should be added into the scenic spot for a better planning of “whole-city tourism” concept.
