The Zhongshan Meteorological Research and Application Innovation Center, jointly established by the Zhongshan Meteorological Bureau and Sun Yat-sen University School of Atmospheric Sciences, went into operation on June 30.

The Center were rebuilt from the original Xiushan observation station of the national meteorological station in Zhongshan, with a floor area of 468.8 square meters.
