An unmanned aerial vehicle is put into service of measuring census crops in Lanbian village, Nanlang and this is the first time that such vehicle has been used in measuring remote sensing of crop area.
It is very difficult to get exact agricultural statistics as the traditional agricultural research adopts the method of manual interrogation. However, the unmanned aerial vehicle makes full use of the modern technologies, like satellite remote sensing, navigation and geographic information technologies, to carry out earth observation and research on spatial and temporal distribution of agricultural crops and status of modern agricultural facilities in a wider and more comprehensive way. The significance of the transformation is to make the future agricultural research more objective and efficient.
