Ever since the launch of unified accounting reform at village level in 2007, 208 out of 239, 87% of all villages & residential communities have fulfilled the task. The income of collective economy in all villages & residential communities totaled 2.845 billion yuan, disposable income 2.173 billion yuan, increasing respectively by 34.1% and 43.1% compared to that in 2006 before the reform. Now 57 villages have 5-10 million yuan of net income of collective economy, 59 villages surpassing 10 million yuan, increasing respectively by 16 and 21 after the reform.

? Unified accounting reform results in income increase
The purpose to carry out unified accounting reform is to increase villagers? income and protect villagers? ownership, distribution and dominance over collective assets. It was estimated that in 2009, the annual per-capita net income for farmers went up to 12,288 yuan, per-capita redistribution income from collective economy 1,155 yuan, rising respectively by 36.4% and 65% from 9006 yuan and 702 yuan in 2006. Meanwhile, in a considerable amount of villages, villagers are provided with health insurance and social insurance to make the aged be supported and the diseased treated.
