Yesterday from Zhongshan Environmental Protection Bureau came the news that Ministry of Environmental Protection of P. R. China had recently awarded Zhongshan the title of “National Ecological City” in an official manner. There are 27 cities (districts, counties) awarded the title by Ministry of Environmental Protection Of P. R. China according to laws and regulations in an unbiased and open procedure.
Ministry of Environmental Protection wished in their announcement that awarded cities honored their title and contributed more to the balanced and sustainable development of regional economy, society and environment in an all-round way.
Zhongshan has made breakthroughs in aspects of creek management, sewage and waste disposal, etc. because it has never stopped or ceased its step in the balanced development of environment and economy since 1999.
Zhongshan City is just adjacent to Jinzhong Reservoir surrounded by bike lanes.
