Zhongshan Customs issued the first 2-in-1 certificate of origin, which covers registration information for both foreign trade business operator and enterprise of origin, to Thyssenkrupp Elevator Co Ltd on the morning of October 15.

With this China-ASEAN preferential certificate of origin, a shipment of passenger elevators worth $330,000 would be exported to Cambodia and granted zero-tariff treatment from the importing country.

According to Zhongshan Customs, from October 15, registration information for foreign trade operators and enterprises of origin will be included in the same certificate. Foreign trade operators may simultaneously complete the filing of the enterprises of origin when thet handle the new filing or the filing change.

This reform has simplified the filing procedures of enterprises of origin, shortened the processes for foreign trade enterprises, and saved time and labor costs, according to Zhongshan Customs.
