Zhongshan Trade & Investment Fair 2011 and Zhongshan - Europe Business Seminar is to be held at Zhongshan Exposition Centre on Mar. 28. So far, 257 contracts, with a total investment of USD 6.17 billion, are expected to be signed. And 711 export trade contracts, valued USD 1.94 billion and a number of domestic trade contracts valued 8.79 billion yuan have already been signed.
It is estimated that foreign-invested projects grew to 119 this year, involving a total investment of USD 1.23 billion. Among all the projects waiting being approved, 18 are foreign-invested ones with a total investment of over USD 30 million and 53 are the ones to increase their original investment and the total investment climbing to USD 710 million. Domestic-capital projects from other cities amount to 138, valued 33.62 million yuan. Of them, 105 are industrial projects, involving an investment of 20.35 billion yuan, accounting for 61.4% of the total investment of Zhongshan. There are 68 projects of which the investment exceeds 100 million yuan, and they involve majorly in equipment-manufacturing and new industries. During the fair, a Zhongshan-Foton hand-over ceremony of new energy electric vehicle will be held and new energy buses driven only by electricity will be demonstrated.
This year’s fair will also put emphasis on promoting the co-op and exchange between Zhongshan and European countries.
