The Department of Commerce of Guangdong Province recently announced the results of the identification of provincial foreign trade transformation and upgrading bases for 2024. Zhongshan's Henglan Town made the list.
Henglan is one of China's lighting manufacturing bases. Over the past 20-plus years, it has built the Maohui Industrial Zone and the Yongxing Industrial Zone. The town is now home to more than 12,000 lighting enterprises, and supporting enterprises in the relevant hardware, plastics, packaging and printing, logistics and warehousing industries, forming a full-industry-chain development mode of design, R&D, production, marketing and services and providing products and services to clients from more than 100 countries and regions. The town saw a year-on-year growth of 12.2% in total export-import volume from January to October this year.
Since the beginning of this year, over 800 enterprises in Henglan have participated in major exhibitions at home and abroad, including Canton Fair, Hong Kong International Lighting Fair, Hong Kong Smart Lighting Expo and Light + Building in Germany, more than 800 enterprises have successfully applied for commercial support funds from central, provincial and municipal governments, and 181 enterprises have benefited from the export credit insurance policy, up 16.8% year-on-year.
