Our city has two more municipal education bases for youngsters. The municipal caring committee inaugurated the two field education bases respectively in Hongbo Center of Dachong and Weifeng Ecological Farm yesterday afternoon.
Hongbo Center is one of the major cultural projects in Guangdong Province, and an integrated center of the mahogany trade combining business, culture, tourism and experience. The education base set up here is helpful for children to know about the special industries and the local customs of their hometown. Weifeng Ecological Farm is to help youngsters feel the fun of ecological agriculture and the notion of environmental protection.
So far there are 16 municipal education bases and 69 town-level bases. There are over 70,000 visits to these education bases each year.
