May 15th marks the 26th National Helping-the-Disabled Day. Zhongshan Disabled Persons Federation held artistic performances with the theme of helping the disabled and spreading the love yesterday morning.

Zhongshan Municipal People’s Government and Party Committee pay special attention to the work concerning the disabled, employment, start-up and recovery in particular. More than 2 million yuan has been invested in 2015 to support the entrepreneurship of 93 disabled persons, to grant 16 students admitted by colleges and over 120 students from poverty-stricken disabled families, and to ensure education rights to 156 blind or disabled children.

On National Helping-the-Disabled Day, Zhongshan will grant allowances to over 18,000 registered disabled people, visit 11 serving-the-disabled sectors such as Damao Hospital, Zhongshan Special Education School.
